There are two curricula, one for middle schools (grades 4 through 8) and another for high schools (grades 9 through 12. The SAAVI® Curricula for both middle schools and high schools are 20 lesson courses prepared for teachers and other school and community based professionals. They can be offered over the course of a semester in a classroom setting.

SAAVI explores the six elements essential to an individual's ability to approach both intra-personal and interpersonal conflict successfully, peacefully and productively. In an attempt to develop the students' understanding of the integral aspects of conflict resolution, each of the 20 lessons focus on one or more of the following six elements:

Middle School Self-Awareness Feelings and Empathy Problem solving Anger Communication Conflict Resolution

High School Self-Awareness and Feelings Anger Communication Empathy and Tolerance/Diversity Problem Solving/Decision Making Conflict Resolution

The SAAVI program is both teacher and student friendly. The work is accomplished through weekly lessons, exercises, homework assignments and the use of a journal in which the students keep track of what they have learned and experienced.
